With a diverse collection of items from early European settlement of Sale (originally Flooding Creek), the museum has two special exhibitions from October. There are a number of Alfred Bock portraits of local citizens, as well as some others from the same era.

There is also an exhibition on the Leslie family which ran a large department store in Sale and other towns. This has a focus on John Widdis Leslie OBE (1919 – 2017), a community leader and philanthropist.
