A massive shout-out to the Sale Floral Art Group Committee and members for stepping up with incredible enthusiasm and commitment to host the Australian Floral Art Convention 2026! This spectacular event doubles as a celebration of the AFAA’s milestone 50th Anniversary. The committee is already working tirelessly to curate a fantastic lineup of programs and events.
This is a wonderful opportunity for members from every corner of Australia to gather and participate—and we are absolutely thrilled to already have expressions of interest pouring in from our floral friends in New Zealand! Get ready for an exciting, action-packed week of creative floral art competitions, inspiring demonstrations, hands-on workshops, delicious meals, and scenic tours. Let’s share "friendship through flowers" right here in Sale for the ‘Flowers in The Middle of Everywhere’ Convention 2026, running from Monday, September 7th to Saturday, September 12th, 2026. Monday 7th September: 9am start at Port of Sale including registration, staging of Class 1 and 2, Pre-Convention 1/2 day Tour and Competition Class 10 Impose.
Tuesday 8th September: 9am start at Port of Sale including registration, collection of flower orders, Competition staging for all Classes 1-9, Competition Class 11 Impose and a meet & greet informal dinner.
Wednesday 9th September: 9am start at Port of Sale, maintenance and watering of exhibits, judge's briefings and judging, AFAA Demonstraton by Eileen Wenn, Civic Reception and Presentation of Awards.
Thursday 10th September: 9am start at Port of Sale, maintenance and watering of exhibits, competition viewing, Luncheon celebrating 50 years of AFAA and Demonstration by Francine Thomas (NZ).
Friday 11th September: 10am start at Port of Sale, demonstrations with Francine Thomas.
Saturday 12th September: 10am start at Port of Sale, AFAA meeting, Post Convention 1/2 tour, official closing and dismantling of exhibits and pack up.
