Gippsland Forest Dialogue - Fire in our forests program

Over the month of August, GFD is running a dialogue program around Fire in our Forests, we are offering you a chance to catch up with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences either out bush on field trips, in an informal social setting or at our dialogue workshop at the Knob Reserve in Stratford. You can attend all or part of the program.

Our intent is to get different community perspectives from across Gippsland, and we hope a range of field trips in different locations, will make it easier for people to participate.

Saturday 22nd August Dialogue event

On Saturday the 22nd we will meet at the Knob Reserve to bring together what we have learnt and reflected on at the field trips and the scoping document to conduct a conversation on fire its impact on our forests and how we can better manage fires. A key part of the dialogue will be considering "where to from here". Fire is a big topic and it may be this is the first of a series of conversations we have.
