Protect the Point: Lake Glenmaggie Clean Up

Join us on Sunday 22nd February, from 9:00am-12:00pm, for the Lake Glenmaggie Clean Up, and help give back to a place we all love. We're coming together at the Sandy Point Picnic Area to care for one of our most valued natural assets - Lake Glenmaggie.

This free community event is proudly brought to life by the Heyfield Adventure Hub in partnership with Maffra and Districts Landcare Network, working together to support and protect our local environment.

We'll kick off the morning with a morning tea for volunteers, a great chance to meet fellow community members before rolling up our sleeves and heading out to clean up Sandy Point. Please bring a reusable cup if you have one - we'll also have some mugs available on the day, and bringing your own helps us reduce waste and cut down on plastic cup use.

You'll be joining hundreds of thousands of volunteers across Australia taking action to clean up our environment and protect popular natural assets like Lake Glenmaggie. Every piece of litter collected helps create a cleaner, healthier Australia.

To keep yourself safe and comfortable, please remember to bring gloves, wear enclosed shoes and bring a hat for sun protection. We'll have gloves available if you don't have a pair, along with a mix of bags for general rubbish and recyclables.
