Wednesday May 6 from 5:30pm, to 6:00pm
Family Violence Prevention Month is held each May to raise community awareness of the social and personal impacts of domestic and family violence, and to highlight the support available to those affected. Each year, a candle lighting ceremony is held on the first Wednesday in May to remember those who have lost their lives to domestic and family violence, and to honour the loved ones left behind.
This year, Domestic Violence Remembrance Day will be held on Wednesday 6 May. Please join us at 5:30pm at the Sale Clocktower. Bring a candle, a small torch, or use your phone light as we come together in a public show of remembrance, solidarity, and commitment to ending domestic, family, and sexual violence. Together, we can remember, reflect, and stand for change.
