The park offers a beautifully landscaped entry, a charming rotunda with a BBQ area, a play area, a basketball court, and a running track, making it a great place to relax, play, or get active.

At the heart of Brennan Park is a large, open grassed area, with a playground that’s perfect for kids of all ages. The playground features an exciting array of play equipment, including a wave slide, climbing wall, shop front, rope bridge, steering wheel, fireman's pole, curved walkway, little wave slide, clock, steps, monkey rungs, and a balance beam with obstacles. There’s also a set of swings and a toad springer, ensuring there’s plenty to keep children entertained.

Whether you’re enjoying a picnic, playing sports, or letting the kids explore the playground, Brennan Park is a welcoming space for the whole family to enjoy.

A picturesque space in the heart of Sale, Lake Guthridge is a great place to relax, play and unwind. Home to its own playground, complete with a spiral slide, a shop front and various other features, the area also boasts barbecue facilities, picnic tables, a large fountain and a stunning walking track around the lake. Bring along a kayak or canoe and enjoy a leisurely paddle along the peaceful Lake Guthridge. With the variety to keep all members of the family entertained, Lake Guthridge makes for the ultimate family day out.

For those with a little energy to burn, take in the 3.3km walk around both Lake Guthridge and Lake Guyatt. The walk around Lake Guthridge and Lake Guyatt is a gentle walk on gravel and concreted paths. It is easily accessible for those with prams or wheelchairs. You will encounter a gentle slope along the eastern bank of Lake Guyatt.

The Sale Library is a contemporary space that has been carefully, and thoughfully, designed to cater for the modern user. Library users have access to a large selection of books, magazines, newspapers and DVD's. A local history collection is also available for those undertaking research. Along with teen and youth zones and many areas to chill out and read or do some quiet study.

Operated by Wellington Shire Council, the Aqua Energy Leisure Centre in Sale, Victoria offers a variety of dynamic fitness options and leisure facilities for users of all ages and abilities.

Choose from over 20 classes covering Group Fitness, Aquatic, Mind and Body and Specialty categories.

Our gym is fully equipped to meet a wide range of fitness needs, from cardio workouts to strength training and functional exercises. Below is a list of our equipment and amenities. Please note that this includes most, but not all, of what we offer.

Aqua Energy operates three heated indoor pools which are open all year round, and also two outdoor pools which are open during the warmer months.

Overlooking the picturesque Lake Guthridge, our café is the perfect spot to grab a snack, drink or coffee after your exercise.

Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation was established as an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation in 1992 to improve the social, health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia.

Since then we have grown to be a leading provider of primary health care and related social and family support services to Aboriginal people in the region.

Our primary health care clinics and social and emotional wellbeing programs specialise in culturally appropriate and comprehensive primary health services for Aboriginal people while also providing health services to the non-Aboriginal population.

All proceeds from the sale of the arts and crafts will be used to support the delivery of health services to Aboriginal people.

Sale Botanic Gardens

With the 21st Century fast approaching, the formation of the Friends of the Sale Botanic Gardens with support from Wellington Shire Council, saw the Gardens begin to re-awaken from it’s slumber. Twenty years on, and the community has truly rediscovered the Gardens, with over 100,000 visitors to the precinct each year. 

The Gardens today occupies 5 hectares on the eastern periphery of Lake Guthridge. Prior to European settlement, the precinct was well visited by the Gunaikurnai, the Traditional Owners of the land. With everything from play spaces, quiet forests, entertainment spaces and learning places, you'll find something to entertain you at the Sale Botanic Gardens.

Rock, Rhythm & Rhyme - Sale Library

Join us for a 30 minute fun-filled program, held during school term, that includes nursery rhymes, action songs, music and simple stories designed to entertain and assist in developing pre-literacy and social skills for babies and toddlers. Get your kids into our fantastic libraries to enjoy these great sessions. Two sessions, Friday mornings: 9.30am and 10.30am.

The Sale Sunday Charity Variety Market has a long history in Sale, offering a fantastic market for many years.

With a great variety of stallholders including fresh fruit and veg, arts and crafts and a variety of second hand stalls, you'll find something to suit every taste. Kicking off from 7am, grab a coffee from the wonderful volunteers on site and have a wander around the wonderful selection of stallholders.
