Alberton Timber

Located along the South Gippsland Highway in Alberton, Alberton Timber & Treatment Plant has been a mainstay of the local industry since 1992. Co-directed by the Olarenshaw family, the business expanded its early footprint by upgrading its peeling and treatment operations to supply a high volume of quality pine post products. Today, the processing yard serves a broad customer base spanning retail, trade, and wholesale sectors across Gippsland and beyond, catering to the specific needs of local agricultural, viticultural, and construction industries.

The plant specializes in a diverse selection of treated pine poles, sawn building timbers, and landscape sleepers engineered to handle everything from in-ground structural applications to outdoor above-ground projects. Alongside its core timber products, the yard supplies essential rural hardware, including fence pickets, farm gates, wiring, and specialized fastners. Embracing an environmentally conscious production cycle, the business also repurposes its untreated post-peeling offcuts into a popular chemical-free pine mulch, providing a comprehensive, one-stop material solution for both local tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts.
