Established in 1877 at the foothills of the Thomson Valley, Cowwarr Primary School offers a warm, family-friendly environment where children of all ages learn, play, and support one another. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school where new families are always welcome, and a strong sense of community warmth is felt throughout.

As part of the Sale Rural Cluster, Cowwarr Primary School collaborates with eight other similarly sized schools: Nambrok Denison PS, Bundalaguah PS, Cobains PS, Wurruk PS, Seaspray PS, Loch Sport PS, and Airly PS. Together, we work to ensure the best possible learning experiences for our students.

In 2022, Cowwarr Primary School has 23 students enrolled and is staffed by a dedicated team, including a full-time teaching principal, part-time business manager, a full-time teacher, three part-time teachers, and two part-time education support staff. Our school boasts a large playground, a sealed bike track, sandpit, and cubby house, as well as a covered walkway to the toilet block.

We also take pride in our sustainability initiatives, with vegetable gardens, a large hot house, and fruit trees that students help cultivate, harvest, and market at the local store. Inside, we have two classrooms, a general-purpose room, a large gallery, an outdoor learning centre, and a fully equipped kitchen, affectionately known as "Cowfe."

At Cowwarr Primary School, every child is encouraged to learn and grow in a safe, nurturing, and hands-on environment, where both academic and personal development are valued equally.
