Won Wron Hall

The Won Wron Public Hall stands as a proud testament to the region’s rich pioneer history. Located just 12 kilometres north of Yarram at 4735 Hyland Highway, this classic rural hub has been bringing locals together for well over a century.

Opening its doors in 1907, the hall quickly became the focal point for a bustling early settlement built on the backbone of the timber and dairy industries. While the old railway line and local creamery have since faded into history, the Won Wron Public Hall remains a thriving centrepiece of the district. Today, it is lovingly preserved and operated by a dedicated local Committee of Management.

The hall serves as a versatile space for community gatherings, celebrations, and local events. It has been thoughtfully updated to ensure it welcomes everyone, featuring modern accessible toilets and structural ramp access—perfectly blending its vintage historical charm with modern convenience.
