Hollands Landing Rd

Named after Stephen Holland who fished on the Lakes and settled the area in the early 1900’s, Hollands Landing is situated at the western end of Lake Victoria on McLennan Straight where it joins Morley Swamp and Lake Wellington in the Gippsland Lakes. Since your Middle of Everywhere app has ‘gone off’ you’re either here, or in the area.
It’s a great spot for fishing and camping, with the caravan park, a general store, and the Lakes. Down side roads with names that verge from the quaint to wildly optimistic - Tree Hill Road is very flat - sit the homes of the locals. You’ll understand why they love it once you get to the landing itself.
First impressions might be ‘ not much to see here’ but that’s the point. It’s all ‘out there’. It’s a great big horizon when you stand ready to launch. Technically, a gateway to the world as you could quite easily launch you home built trailer sailer from this modest little port, and circumnavigate the globe. Now that’s something to think about.
