Heyfield Wetlands

A focal point in Heyfield, the Wetlands are overlooked by the excellent Information Centre, your starting point for anything you need to know, and for what can be four kilometres of walkways and boardwalks - there are even eight exercise stations.

Of course, the opportunities for photographers are as varied as the daylight and birdlife, and surprisingly you can even fish for trout! Yes, the lake has trout. Who’d ‘a thunk it? It’s all a testament to a powerful, imaginative community effort, and it is very much a source of both pride, and joy, to the people of Heyfield and all who visit here.
