A highlight that sneaks up on you in the form of an unexpected waft of perfume that says ‘Stop here…you need to discover more!” The Sensory Garden Collection was designed in the year 2000 as part of the Federal Government ‘Work for the Dole’ scheme. The Sensory Garden is a safe, tactile space to stimulate the senses, a horticultural therapy, designed to stimulate sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. The raised beds provide an opportunity for those with mobility challenges to actively participate in hands-on gardening, something the Friends of the Sale Botanical Gardens enjoy all year round.
