Loch Sport Community Care serves as a vital support network for the township of Loch Sport, offering practical assistance, social connection, and essential services to local residents. Situated between Lake Victoria and Ninety Mile Beach, the organisation plays a key role in ensuring isolated community members remain connected and supported.

• Community Pantry & Food Relief: Provides non-perishable food items, fresh produce, and essential toiletries to local families and individuals experiencing financial hardship.
• Social Connection & Activities: Hosts regular catch-ups, morning teas, and community gatherings designed to reduce social isolation, particularly for older residents.
• Information & Referral Services: Acts as a local hub to help residents navigate government services, regional health networks, emergency relief, and social assistance programs.
• Emergency Assistance: Offers immediate, localized support and guidance during times of personal crisis or regional emergencies.

Getting Involved & Accessing Support

• Volunteering: Operates largely through the dedication of local volunteers who assist with food distribution, administration, and event organizing.
• Donations: Accepts non-perishable food items, clean essential goods, and monetary contributions to help maintain relief supplies.

Loch Sport Community Care supports everyone with a Healthcare or Pension card. For a donation of $10 you choose a bag of staple grocery items plus a bag of fruit and vegetables.

Loch Sport Community Care Coffee Shop is open during Comm Care trading hours and we welcome everyone to come on in, meet and greet, have a chat or just sit in the lounge and read a magazine. Tea, coffee and cake is served occasionally for a gold coin donation.

Loch Sport Take Away BBQ - when supplies are available . We also partner with FareShare Victoria and provide RTE frozen meals.
