Sale Historical Museum is located in the original Council Chambers of the Borough, later the Town and then the City of Sale and features changing major Exhibitions. The Museum houses original Council furniture from the Borough of Sale as well as many other artefacts and archives from 1863. The main chamber re-creates the original Council meeting room. Some memorabilia from West Sale Migrant Holding Centre, local author Mary Grant Bruce, a collection of local honor boards and items from early businesses and homes are also on display. There is a main exhibition room featuring items related to a specific them such as manufacturing or other businesses.
Please note that the Sale Historical Museum, located on Foster Street will be closed for a couple of weeks from the 20th of September 2025 for renovations. Keep on eye on socials for more information.
