Stratford Swimming Pool

Located on McMillan Street in Stratford, the Stratford Swimming Pool is a popular, seasonal outdoor facility managed by the Wellington Shire Council. Operating during the warmer summer months from November through March, the complex is designed to cater to visitors of all ages and swimming abilities.

The facility features a standard 25-meter main pool ideal for lap swimming and casual recreation, alongside a 15-meter learn-to-swim pool and two toddler pools specifically built to offer a safe, shallow space for young children to splash around.

Beyond its water features, the complex focuses heavily on accessibility and comfort to ensure an enjoyable day out for the community. The grounds are equipped with disability access amenities, including an access ramp to the pool deck and a dedicated water hoist to assist swimmers entering the pools safely. Visitors can make use of the male, female, and accessible change rooms on-site, or relax on the grassy lawns.

For families looking to extend their stay, the facility provides shaded areas to escape the midday sun, barbecue facilities perfect for picnics, and a kiosk stocking snacks and refreshments. To help locals make the most of hot summer days, the pool also operates under extended hours whenever the local temperature is forecast to reach 24°C or above.
