The Gippsland Plains Rail Trail begins in Traralgon — just a short train journey from Melbourne — and meanders through Glengarry, Toongabbie, Cowwarr, Heyfield, Tinamba, and Maffra before finishing at Stratford. The eastern end of the trail can also be accessed via train from Bairnsdale. Along the way, you’ll encounter a wealth of natural beauty, historic landmarks, and charming towns brimming with character.
