Located on Duke Street in Maffra, the Maffra Memorial Pool is a cherished community hub operated by the Wellington Shire Council as part of its seasonal outdoor aquatic facilities. Officially opened on October 19, 1960, by the Governor of Victoria, General Sir Dallas Brooks, the complex was established as a war memorial to honor those who served during times of conflict. Over the decades, it has evolved into a vibrant destination for fitness, recreation, and family gatherings during the warmer months, typically operating throughout the summer swim season from December to March.

The facility is well-equipped to cater to swimmers of all ages and abilities, featuring a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool ideal for lap swimming, local school carnivals, and general recreation. For younger children and those learning to swim, a dedicated toddler pool is available under protective shade sails. Designed with accessibility in mind, the grounds feature wet decking for easy access and visibility, standard and disabled change rooms, a kiosk for snacks, and a drinking fountain. The pool grounds also feature lush, shaded lawn areas with communal electric barbecues, making it a popular spot for extended afternoon picnics. To maximize community access during hot spells, the council operates the pool under a flexible temperature-trigger system, extending opening hours on any days when the local forecast is predicted to reach 24°C or above.
