Country Women's Association - North Gippsland Group

Country Women's Association of Vic Inc is more than scones, jam and cream! It is an organisation that advocates and supports country and city women and their families throughout Victoria with over fourty Groups and over 320 Branches. This progressive and vibrant Association aims 'to improve conditions by community service more especially as they affect the welfare of women and children.'

CWA is a self-funded volunteer philanthropic organisation with a focus on friendship, personal development and advocacy. The Association encourages advocation on; community issues, sustainable development, the protection of the environment, and social issues. CWA also encourages supporting community and taking an interest in the working of government at all levels. It awards educational grants and scholarships. Each Branch maintains its own program and is empowered to meet community needs. CWA is a member of the Associated Country Women of the World which has non-government status with several United Nations agencies.

CWA North Gippsland can be found throughout The Middle of Everywhere, with North Gippsland branches being found in Avon, Bundalaguah, Cobains, Denison, Giffard, Maffra, Sale and Sale Starlight.
