Good Times Motoring held its first meeting on March 29, 2015, following an article in the local newspaper that attracted approximately forty attendees. Bob Taylor chaired the initial meeting and called for nominations, resulting in his unanimous election as president alongside John as vice president, Anna Lawler as secretary, and Garry Bradley as treasurer.

During subsequent meetings, members selected the name "Good Times Motoring Club of Yarram" and registered it as an incorporated club. While the founders anticipated finding older vehicles in the town and surrounding district, the enthusiasm from the community exceeded expectations. Julie Kee, partner of Garry Bradley, took on the role of head of the ladies committee and worked with her daughter, Christie Hall, to design the club logo currently featured on official letterhead and merchandise.

By the end of its first year, the club grew to 60 members, drawing vehicle enthusiasts from Leongatha, Traralgon, and Rosedale. The club hosts monthly meetings on the last Sunday of every month at 2:00 PM at The HUB, located at 156 Grant St, Yarram. Attendance remains consistently strong, with some members even purchasing eligible vehicles specifically to join. Membership is open to cars, motorbikes, and trucks that are 25 years or older, and the club maintains an active calendar of well-attended events throughout the year.
