Every Easter long weekend, the historic township of Yarram comes alive for Gippsland’s iconic Tarra Festival. Run entirely by a passionate team of local volunteers, the festival brings together families, visitors, artists, and local businesses for four days of entertainment, parades, markets, and community spirit.

The Tarra Festival Committee is an incorporated, community-led, non-profit organization dedicated to planning, funding, and hosting Yarram’s marquee annual event.

What We Do

• Event Curation & Management: Coordinating the four-day festival program, from street parades and live music to art exhibitions and family carnivals.
• Community Partnerships: Collaborating with local schools, sporting clubs, emergency services, and community groups to highlight local talent.
• Local Business Integration: Partnering with regional traders, market stallholders, and tourism operators to boost local trade across the long weekend.
• Volunteer Leadership: Providing structure, safety management, licensing, and logistics to turn community ideas into seamless festival experiences.

Local businesses, clubs, school groups, and performance troupes are invited to register a float, walking group, or vehicle display in the annual parade. It's the best way to showcase your organization to thousands of spectators.
