Every Easter long weekend, the historic township of Yarram comes alive for Gippsland’s iconic Tarra Festival. Run entirely by a passionate team of local volunteers, the festival brings together families, visitors, artists, and local businesses for four days of entertainment, parades, markets, and community spirit.
The Tarra Festival Committee is an incorporated, community-led, non-profit organization dedicated to planning, funding, and hosting Yarram’s marquee annual event.
To foster community pride, stimulate the local economy, and showcase the vibrant art, culture, and hospitality of Yarram and the surrounding coastal region through a high-quality, family-friendly Easter festival.
The Tarra Festival belongs to the community—and it takes a village to make the magic happen.
We are always seeking enthusiastic locals to join the organizing committee or assist during the event weekend. Whether you have skills in event planning, marketing, logistics, or simply want to lend a hand at the gate, your time makes a difference.
Local businesses, clubs, school groups, and performance troupes are invited to register a float, walking group, or vehicle display in the annual parade. It's the best way to showcase your organization to thousands of spectators.
Applications open each spring for market vendors, food vans, and artisan makers. Secure your spot in the heart of Yarram during one of the region's busiest tourism weekends.
Partnering with the Tarra Festival provides direct visibility for your business while supporting community vitality. We offer tiered sponsorship packages with promotional options across print, digital, and on-ground signage.
