Yarram Recreation Reserve

The Yarram Recreation Reserve serves as a vital community and sporting hub located in Yarram, functioning as a central gathering point for diverse athletic, agricultural, and social events throughout the region. The reserve boasts extensive multi-use facilities capable of hosting large gatherings of up to 1,000 visitors, featuring a main oval for Australian Rules football and cricket, dedicated netball courts, and modern clubrooms equipped with a commercial kitchen. It also caters to travelers and regional visitors by offering a public dump point for caravans, alongside a family-friendly musical playground.

The heart of the reserve lies in its diverse roster of more than 13 local user groups, which collectively draw over 1,200 active participants annually. Prominent sporting organizations like the Yarram Football Netball Club anchor the winter seasons on the oval and courts, while the Yarram & District Pony Club utilizes the specialized equestrian infrastructure for regular training and youth rallies. The arena facilities also support traditional agricultural and livestock events, serving as the home base for the Yarram Agricultural Society—organizers of the annual Yarram Agricultural Show—and the Yarram Campdraft community. Beyond sports and agriculture, the reserve's indoor pavilions are heavily utilized by local service organizations, including the Rotary, Lions, and Apex clubs, as well as senior citizen cohorts, making it a cornerstone for civic meetings, fundraisers, and community connection.
